Visa launches pop concert ticket giveaway to reward MTR tap-to-ride passengers, featuring the first-ever joint performance of Jer Lau and MC Cheung Tinfu at the《KATCH OUR LIFE Jer X MC Concert》

· Starting today, MTR passengers who tap to ride with Visa will have the chance to win tickets to《KATCH OUR LIFE Jer X MC Concert》on 30 August 2024 that will feature performances from two highly popular Hong Kong artists MIRROR boy band member Jeremy (Jer) Lau and local singer MC Cheung Tinfu.
· Following the enthusiastic response of the《Katch the POP》concert announced in March 2024, Visa and MTR Corporation will be launching the second wave of concerts featuring a stellar lineup of popular Hong Kong artists accompanied by a fresh round of lucky draws.
Visa, a global leader in digital payments, rolls out today a citywide concert ticket giveaway for travellers and commuters who use Visa tap-to-ride on the MTR from now till 9 August 2024. The “Visa x MTR presents: 《KATCH OUR LIFE Jer X MC Concert》” is the first-ever joint concert by member of the boyband MIRROR Jeremy (Jer) Lau and local singer MC Cheung Tinfu (“MC”). With a total of 1,600 concert tickets up for grabs, the lucky draw welcomes cardholders of Visa credit and debit cards issued in Asia Pacific1, catering to local commuters as well as music fans from overseas.
Taking place on 30 August 2024, Visa and MTR Corporation will be sponsoring the《KATCH OUR LIFE Jer X MC Concert》in collaboration with music and entertainment platform Katch, MakerVille and Warner Music Hong Kong. From today until 9 August 2024, Visa cardholders who register on the Katch campaign webpage earn a chance to enter into the concert ticket lucky draw2 when they tap to ride on the MTR. This campaign is an extended celebration of the launch of the first contactless bank card payment service with Visa for MTR rides, and aims to connect music and entertainment lovers with their transit experience.

- Visa has seen an uplift in tap-to-ride passengers on the MTR after the announcement of the previous 《Katch the POP》concert.
- According to VisaNet's recent data3, top five markets of card origin (beyond Hong Kong) of Visa tap-to-ride passengers on the MTR include Mainland China, the US, Singapore, Japan, and the UK.

800 lucky draw winners of the “Visa x MTR presents: 《KATCH OUR LIFE Jer X MC Concert》” will be announced on Katch’s webpage from 21 August 2024 onwards. 3 Simple Steps to Win Concert Tickets
Step 1: Throughout the promotional period running from now till 9 August 2024, participants can enroll their eligible Visa credit card or debit card on Katch’s webpage (https://concert.katch.hk/visamtr). For individuals who have previously registered for any promotions on Katch’s webpage, it is necessary to re-register in order to participate in this promotion.
Step 2: Participants have to fill in the required information stated on Katch’s webpage including their name, contact information, and their eligible Visa card number. Participants will also be asked to select their preferred pick-up location.
Step 3: Participants must tap to ride on the MTR with their enrolled Visa card to qualify for one lucky draw entry per day.
